My employees sometimes give me quizzical looks when I present a particular Bible verse for publication in the Wise Crack, so it occurred to me that it might be prudent to give a short explanation of the relevance I find in the verses that do get published.

It also occurred to me that some of you are not Christians, and likely think I am some kind of a Jesus freak. Well, guilty as charged! Now I want to be very clear about something here; I don’t include Bible verses in the Wise Crack because I am trying to present an image, sway Christian entrepreneurs to our company, or because I desire to push my beliefs on others. In fact, for a long time I made a point not to mention God in any Delta Kits correspondence because I did not want to offend anyone.

My parents taught me that a Christian should be recognizable by their actions, and should not have to advertise that they are a Christian. While I believe that’s true, I never want to pass up an opportunity to speak to someone about the most important thing in my life, so I now include a Bible verse in every Delta Kits newsletter.

I mention this today because of the increasing number of calls and e-mails we are receiving, asking if Delta Kits is owned by a Christian, so I thought it a good time to answer some of the more common questions.

  • Yes, Delta Kits is owned by a Christian and yes I will talk to any customer that wishes to discuss Christianity.

  • No, employees of Delta Kits, including myself, will not preach to you, try to convert you, or otherwise try to push Christian beliefs on you.

  • No, Christians do not get special pricing or special treatment. All Delta Kits customers are treated with courtesy and respect. Pricing is based on volume. (Exceptions are made for charitable causes)

  • No, employees of Delta Kits are not required to be Christians, but they are required to be honest and trustworthy.
