Delta Kits, Inc. Announces Prize Offering for Windshield Repair Olympics

(Eugene, Ore.) – July 27, 2011 - Delta Kits Inc., a Eugene-based company specializing in windshield repair and headlight restoration equipment and supplies, is offering prizes for any technician that places in the top three of the Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics using a Delta Kits windshield repair system. The Olympics are held in conjunction with Auto Glass Week held September 15 to 17 in Memphis, Tennessee.

The first place winner will receive Delta Kits’ ClearPro Plus Headlight Restoration System and $1,000 cash, the second place winner the new B250 windshield repair bridge and $500 cash, and third place will receive a 12 volt, 10 inch UV crack lamp and $250 cash.

“As a company, we want to support this event that gives technicians a chance to showcase their skills. With contestants being judged on the total customer experience in addition to repair quality it is a very positive event for our industry,” said Delta Kits Account Executive and 2010 Windshield Repair Person of the Year Korey Gobin. “It ties directly in with ROLAGS (Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standards) which emphasizes repair quality.”

In addition to being a Cobalt sponsor of Auto Glass Week, Delta Kits will also be hosting a hands-on windshield repair training course immediately following the show. The class, to be held on September 18 at the Crown Plaza Memphis , will allow technicians to receive a factory certification after successfully completing practical and written tests.
