How to Repair Combination Breaks

Watch this step-by-step process of repairing a “combination break”, another type of damage found on windshields. This video features a Delta Kits auto glass repair kit.

In this video, we demonstrate how to properly repair a combination break using Delta Kits equipment.

First, the technician probes the damaged area to ensure there is no debris or moisture in the break. Then, the technician wipes the area with a paper towel.

The technician places the B300 bridge on the windshield and injects resin, then begins the five minute pressure cycle.

After the pressure and vacuum cycles, the technician removes the B300 bridge to begin the curing process. The technician applies pit resin, a Curing Tab and the UV light, and lets the repair cure for five minutes. Once the repair has cured, the technician makes the repair flush to the glass by removing excess pit resin with a razor blade. Then, the technician applies pit resin with a paper towel to polish the repaired area. Finally, the video shows a comparison of the glass before and after the repair.
