In the video, we show some headlights that are discolored and lack the brightness they once had. Rather than buying expensive replacements, we can restore them to their original brightness.

The first step is to mask off the vehicle around the headlight.

Next, we rinse the surface residue off of the entire headlight using the CLEAN2PREP solution (part number HLC2PREP08). Then, we rinse it with water.

Next, we sand the entire headlight evenly with a 320 grit sanding disc (part number HLSDI 320-30). We make sure to sand evenly, and to get all of the oxidation off of the headlight.

Next, we rinse it with water to remove all of the dust particles to ensure that all of the oxidation has been removed.

The next sanding step is with a 600 grit sanding disc (part number HLSDI 600-30). We continue sanding evenly. Once again, we rinse the headlight to remove the dust particles.

Then, we switch to the 1500 grit sanding disc (part number HLSDI 1500-30). By now, the lens will start getting its clarity back.

Our last sanding step is with a 3000 grit polishing disc (part number HLSDI 3000-30). See how the clarity comes back after sanding each side?

Then, we perform one more rinse to remove dust particles, before applying the COAT2PROTECT solution (part number HLC2PROT8). Typically the technician would apply the COAT2PROTECT solution prior to removing the masking tape. However, for video purposes only and to show a good “Before and After” scenario, the technician removes the tape before applying the coating.

To apply the coasting, we fold up a lint-free paper towel and mix the COAT2PROTECT solution as a one-to-one solution in a mixing cup. Then, we apply it evenly over the lens with the paper towel.

This headlight restoration drastically improves the driver's visibility, enhances the cosmetic appearance of the vehicle, increases the resale value of the vehicle, and eliminates the need for a costly replacement.
