Delta Kits Introduces New Battery Operated LED Curing Light

Eugene, Ore. – Delta Kits, a leader in windshield repair and headlight restoration equipment, introduces its latest signature product, the Ignite, a new, compact LED curing light. This ultra-durable and lightweight UV light provides the perfect combination of size, easy-to-use operation, and power that decreases curing time: an invaluable resource for any mobile windshield repair technician.

Constructed of solid aluminum, this slip resistant Delta Kits LED light weighs in at under eight ounces. It utilizes a single high quality, high intensity 365 nm UV LED bulb that produces incredible curing power and speed, minimizing the need for an external electrical source.

Delta Kits President Brent Deines says the Ignite is responding to mobile technicians asking for a more durable and powerful compact curing light. Delta Kits has been researching LED technology and testing a variety of battery operated LED and UV lights for more than three years. “Cure time is crucial to busy windshield repair technicians and with fresh batteries the Ignite cures on average in 30 seconds; faster than most 12V, 115V, and 230V UV lights.” says Deines.

Fluorescent UV lights have been the standard for decades in the windshield repair industry but battery operated units are notorious for being under powered, having poor battery life, and lacking the durability necessary to stand up to the demands of a mobile windshield repair technician. While there are a few high-quality battery operated fluorescent UV lights available, the price of those particular models is prohibitive for most windshield repair technicians.

No other light on the market compares to the Ignite, “LED lights that produce UV light in the 395 nm+ range are much less expensive to manufacture and some windshield repair companies have been recommending those for curing, but in our testing that wavelength does not produce the desired results,” says Deines. “Still others have been selling low quality 365 nm UV lights with multiple bulbs, but those we tested lacked the intensity to cure properly.”

The Ignite only requires a single 18650 battery or two CR123A batteries (not included) for hours of curing time. It fits perfectly in the Delta Kits On The Go Pro Pack and may be securely attached to the glass using the Delta Kits Ignite windshield mount. The Ignite mount houses a flip lever vacuum cup allowing the light to be positioned in a variety of ways, offering the convenience of hands-free curing at an affordable price, a perfect match for mobile windshield repair technicians.

Delta Kits will be demonstrating the Ignite live at the 12th Annual International Mobile Tech Expo in Orlando, Florida, on Friday January, 18 and Saturday the 19th 2013. Come by and see the Ignite in action at booth number 103.
