Is there a way to remove resin from the hood of a vehicle once it has cured?

Question:

Is there a way to remove resin from the hood of a vehicle once it has cured?

Answer:

Once it has cured, the resin is very difficult to remove without damaging the paint on the hood of a vehicle. Initially, denatured alcohol can be used to remove resin while it is still in the uncured state (wet). If it has cured, we would recommend taking it to a body shop to see if they can remove it without damage. A good way to avoid this in the future would be to use a Hood Protector (part # 23015)
